Degree structure

AI’s ability to mimic human intelligence, process massive datasets, and make informed decisions has ushered in a new era of possibilities. Sandwich placements are paid roles whereas work-based learning module placements are normally unpaid. Home undergraduate student fees are regulated and are currently capped at £9,250 per year; any changes will be subject to changes in government policy. International fees will increase annually, by no more than 5% or RPI (Retail Price Index), whichever is the greater. Our programmes are accredited by the British Computer Society, the Chartered Institute for IT, for the purposes of fully meeting the academic requirement for registration as a Chartered IT Professional (CITP). This unit covers the principal mathematical and statistical topics required to pursue further study in the areas of data science and machine learning. This unit explores a range of fundamental algorithms and data structures used to solve several computational ai engineering degree challenges fundamental to the study of data science and machine learning disciplines. You will learn to consider and discuss algorithm complexity and efficiency through practical implementation using data structures, graphs, graph algorithms and graph search.

Via the delivery of a multi-medium research project, you will delve deep into the world of Artificial Intelligence. On successful completion of this module, you will have gained a rich understanding of probabilistic reasoning and have hands-on experience designing Artificial Intelligence systems. You’ll also have the opportunity to manage your own research project, enhancing your critical assessment skills and aptitude for research-based work. This is a foundational module designed to equip you with an in-depth understanding of communication networks and their application in a real-world context. This module aims to provide a comprehensive introduction to the basic principles of computer networking, focusing on layered network models, and the design, connection, configuration, and testing of computer networks that involve PCs, switches, and routers. Hands-on laboratory experiments will allow you to implement and validate network designs using a range of analytical and simulation tools, reinforcing theoretical knowledge with practical application.
